The Taiwan Academy of Banking and Finance (TABF) is thrilled to announce the successful conclusion of the 12th Elite Awards Ceremony, held on December 20, 2024, at the Elite Hall of TABF. Dedicated to recognizing financial excellence, fostering innovation, and setting industry benchmarks, this prestigious event marks another significant milestone for Taiwan’s financial sector.
The ceremony featured an inspiring opening performance with sand art, symbolizing the achievements of role models in finance, and encouraging innovation and progress within the industry. The event was graced by the presence of distinguished guests including Chairman Dr. Jin-Lung Peng of the Financial Supervisory Commission, Chairman Dr. Kuo-Liang Lin of the Financial Information Service Co., Chairman Dr. Jiann-Jong Kuo of the Joint Credit Information Center, and Chairman Hsien-Nong Kuei of the National Credit Card Center. The ceremony was also attended by Chairman Dr. Paul C. D. Lei and President Dr. Yi-Cheng Kao of TABF, who celebrated the remarkable achievements of Taiwan’s financial industry.
This year’s Institutional Awards attracted 79 financial institutions, with a record-breaking 163 project submissions. Following a rigorous evaluation process, 61 exceptional entries from 32 institutions were honored for their excellence in innovation, risk management, and sustainability, reflecting the industry’s resilience and foresight.
A notable highlight was the Special Contribution Award, presented to Chairman Dr. Tien-Mu Huang of the Central Deposit Insurance Corporation, recognizing his outstanding contributions to financial supervision, policy advocacy, and the sustainable development of Taiwan’s financial system.
The Financial Inclusion Award – Anti-Fraud Initiative celebrated 9 exemplary projects for their dedication to safeguarding the assets of the public and promoting financial security. Selected from 29 submissions, these projects exemplify the industry’s commitment to financial inclusion and protection of public trust.
Building on the ceremony, TABF has launched the Elite Awards Special Exhibition in the Bankers’ Salon on its first floor. Designed as a “Financial Art Museum,” the exhibition showcases innovative financial products, smart services, and sustainable development, emphasizing the importance of financial inclusion. Open from December 20, 2024, to March 15, 2025, it showcases the creativity and achievements behind the growth of Taiwan’s financial sector.
