Taiwan Academy of Banking and Finance Appoints Dr. Yi-Cheng Kao as New President

The Taiwan Academy of Banking and Finance (TABF) is pleased to welcome Dr. Yi-Cheng Kao as its new President. The handover ceremony, officiated by Chairman Dr. Chung-Dar Lei, took place on November 15, 2024, at TABF Headquarters, following unanimous approval at a joint meeting of the Board of Directors and Supervisors.

The Taiwan Academy of Banking and Finance (TABF) is pleased to welcome Dr. Yi-Cheng Kao as its new President. The handover ceremony, officiated by Chairman Dr. Chung-Dar Lei, took place on November 15, 2024, at TABF Headquarters, following unanimous approval at a joint meeting of the Board of Directors and Supervisors.

Dr. Kao brings a wealth of experience and expertise to TABF. He holds a Ph.D. in International Business from National Taiwan University and has served as Associate Professor of Economics at Fu Jen Catholic University and Adjunct Associate Professor at National Taiwan University. His tenure at Chung Yuan Christian University included significant contributions to institutional research, development, and accreditation through various administrative roles.

Dr. Kao has been recognized for his dedication to education and research, receiving honors such as the Outstanding Mentor Award from Chung Yuan Christian University and the Outstanding Teaching Award from National Taiwan University. His advisory work with the Executive Yuan’s Economic Development Committee reflects his commitment to fostering fiscal stability, inclusive finance, and sustainable growth, with a focus on supporting SMEs and promoting equitable economic development.

Humbled by the opportunity to lead TABF, Dr. Kao expressed his commitment to upholding its mission of enhancing financial expertise, driving industry transformation, and serving the evolving needs of Taiwan’s financial sector and society. His leadership marks a new chapter for TABF, reinforcing its role as a trusted think tank and training institute.
